Wow, it's been almost a year since I last posted on deviant art. I have just posted some art work that I did at school. It came out of an independent study since all of my require classes are programming classes, this was the only way I could get an art course in!
My professor gave me free creative reign on this. I wanted to expressive a variety of emotions through shapes and abstract images. I really went and focus on the use of color and color combination to really invoke an emotional response to the viewer. From the final critique, I had success in some but not in others. The negative emotions were the most difficult ones for me to execute fully since I'm not really a negative Nancy. >_< But this was a good learning experience and for me to keep my artistic skills in check. I do not want to get rusty because I have to program numbers!!
I got one more year of school left before I graduate and become a real adult. But after I graduate, I hope to study abroad in Japan and really immerse myself in the culture and language. I have already completed a year of Japanese and got one more year of it before I complete my minor in it. I continue to wish Japan a full recovery from their current situation. Hopefully next year they will be stronger than ever!! I am also looking at Grad school if I do not get a job (since getting one in the Game Industry is extremely difficult). But these are things to think about in the years ahead. I have quite a few essays to write before the deadline. *sigh. Life's moving too fast but I must meet it.
I have been reading the first 4 books of "A Song of Ice and Fire" (I have just finished the 4th book) by George R.R. Martin. His creativity is just astounding. I just can't believe of how fully realized the world he has created fill with royal families (and the uncles, aunts, cousins, wards, septons, etc.) I have trouble memorizing all the various Japanese words but here there are 7 families with all those things and people across the sea too! However, I was glad that HBO did the "Game of Thrones" which introduced me to this wonderful series. I will get to "The Dance of Dragons" once school starts. Can't wait to see the final chapters though! (I really want Cersei killed but Ser Martin have thrown tons of curve ball so we shall see). Summer is over and my internship too. School is right around the corner and I need to prepare. I hope to continue to draw, paint, or do any artistic things that artist do!
